On Wednesday, September 27th, the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) will hold its National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, promoting health awareness and the importance of regular physical activity for women of all ages.  Hospitals, health clubs, senior centers and other local organizations across the country will host activities, ranging from walking events and exercise demos to health screenings and educational workshops. A new report on the characteristics of female Veterans released Aug 2017 by the U.S. Census Bureau shows that early-career aged female Veterans (18 to 34 years old) were more likely to be employed, married and have a child in their home than early-career aged female nonVeterans.
