Tracy Hines served in the military as a parachute rigger and was injured in an airborne operation in 2007.  After being injured, Hines was medically discharged from the Army and decided to represent her country in another way. [From News Channel 4]

Arkansas National Guard Staff Sgt. Tasheenia L. Wallace made history today, July 26, for the Arkansas National Guard when she graduated from the Infantry Transition Course (ITC), a two week residency training program, at the Robinson Maneuver Training Center in North Little Rock.  “I just want to be able to be on the front line like the guys,” Staff Sgt. The VA of Eastern Kansas is making sure its women Veterans are up-to-date on their health check-ups.  They hosted a mobile mammography vehicle Wednesday afternoon, where the Veterans got routine screens on-site. [From WIBW 13]

Joshua Newville and Senior Airman Emily Leehan exchanged wedding vows in front of their closest friends and family over the weekend, but it was Leehan’s vows to Newville’s 4-year-old son Gage that captured hearts across the country.  In a now-viral video, Gage becomes overwhelmed with emotion as his new stepmom reads special vows she wrote for him.
