Many Servicemembers join the military ready to go to war. Others face
their toughest battles when they leave the service. Robert Consulmagno, a
Marine Corps Veteran, has been battling with more than some can handle

bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
[Video] Raising awareness of post-traumatic stress is Alabama Veteran’s new mission
When a 107-millimeter rocket exploded three-and-a-half feet away from
Colin Wayne Erwin in Paktika Province in Afghanistan, the former Alabama
Army National Guardsman and DoD contractor miraculously survived,
walking away with a lumbar contusion, permanent tinnitus and shrapnel in
his arms, stomach and leg. But he also came home with post-traumatic
stress. Four years later, Colin Wayne, as he’s known professionally, is a
well-known sports and fitness model who is sharing his story in the
hopes of helping others.
Our Lean In Circle initiative responds to the top issues women Veterans
continue to articulate to us and facilitates a stronger connection among
women Veterans. For many years, women Veterans have continuously
expressed to us that they would like to have a mechanism that allows
them to engage with their fellow women Veterans and to make a difference
in their communities. We believe this initiative is the perfect match.
This strategic partnership will provide women Veterans with tools to
enable them to make a difference “after the uniform” in their lives and
the lives of their fellow women Veterans.
