TTB Accepts Offer in Compromise
We have accepted an offer in compromise from KrushWerks, LLC for allegedly failing to report a change in control resulting in the termination of its basic permit. This made KrushWerks, LLC ineligible for the reduced rate of tax on wine, which it paid/claimed, and resulted in the imposition of tax at the full rate.

ACTION: Notice of training sessions
SUMMARY: The notice-and-comment Federal rulemaking process allows any member of the public to submit a comment on an agency’s proposed rule, and in developing any final rule the agency generally must respond to relevant and significant public comments. As part of its efforts to strengthen public engagement in the Federal regulatory process, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will offer training sessions on effective public participation in the public comment process.
DATES: The training sessions will be held on July 18, 2024, at 3 to 3:45 p.m. ET, and July 24, 2024, at 5:30 to 6:15 p.m ET.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting and request for comments
SUMMARY: The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on August 21, 2024. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at the 27th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection and Certification Systems (CCFICS) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC). The 27th Session of the CCFICS will be held in Cairns, Australia, from September 16–20, 2024. The U.S. Manager for Codex Alimentarius and the Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs recognize the importance of providing interested parties the opportunity to obtain background information on the 27th Session of the CCFICS and to address items on the agenda.
DATES: The public meeting is scheduled for August 21, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. ET.
