Catarratto Grape Variety Name Approved
We recently granted administrative approval for the use of the grape variety name Catarratto as a type designation on American wine labels.
Wine bottlers may use this name, as well as other names granted administrative approval, to label American wines pending the results of a rulemaking to revise the list of grape variety names approved for use in designating American wines at 27 CFR 4.91.
Greg Greeley Appointed as TTB’s Chief Information Officer
We are pleased to announce Greg Greeley as TTB’s Assistant Administrator, Information Resources/Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Greg has an exemplary history with the Bureau and is renowned for his leadership, customer service, and innovation, as well as for his collaborative work style. He has played an integral role in TTB's successes across a number of information technology (IT) initiatives over the years, including his recent stewardship of the development and launch of the IT systems to process the CBMA import claims.
As CIO, Greg will continue to share his extensive expertise as he oversees the development, operation, maintenance, and security of all TTB IT systems. He will be at the forefront of the myTTB IT modernization effort that seeks to provide an integrated online filing experience for industry members.
TTB Accepts Offer in Compromise for Trade Practice Violations
We have accepted an offer in compromise from Park Street Imports, LLC for allegedly violating the Federal Alcohol Administration Act’s trade practices provisions by contracting to purchase, and/or purchasing, products on consignment from multiple entities.
