Formulas and COLAs Online: A New Option Available to Receive Verification Code
Multiple security layers are key to protecting online systems and applications. In addition to your username and password, Formulas Online and COLAs Online require you to enter a one-time verification code each time you sign in to the system. This one-time verification code is a good practice for enhancing system security.
Authenticator Application Option Now Available
There are now two ways you can receive the one-time verification code when signing in to Formulas and COLAs Online:
- Via email OR
- Via an authenticator application (app) such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
The choice is up to you!

If you are having trouble paying the taxes you owe, or if you’re not able to pay by the deadline, TTB has several options that may help:

Installment Agreement - Pay off your outstanding tax liability (including penalties and interest) in full over time.

Extension of Time for Paying Tax - Apply for an extension if you would experience undue hardship by paying on the due date.

Waiver or Abatement of Penalties - Qualify for relief from penalties if you were unable to meet your tax obligations due to circumstances beyond your control.

Offer in Compromise - Settle your tax debt for less than the full amount if you can establish an inability to pay in full, or if you believe you do not owe the tax in question.
Please remember, to minimize penalties and interest, it is important that you file all required federal tax returns on time, even if you cannot pay the full amount due.

ACTION: Proposed rule
The Food and Drug administration (FDA) is proposing to establish tobacco product manufacturing practice requirements for manufacturers of finished and bulk tobacco products, setting forth requirements for “the manufacture, preproduction design validation, packing, and storage of finished and bulk tobacco products, to assure the public health is protected and that tobacco products are in compliance with chapter IX of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).” Related to the proposed rule, the FDA is also holding a public hearing and a meeting of its Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee.
In the Federal Register of Friday, March 10, 2023, the FDA published the following documents:
(1) a public hearing notice, the hearing to be held virtually on April 12, 2023, from 9:30am – 5:00pm; and
(2) a meeting notice for the FDA’s Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee, to be held on May 18, 2023, from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the FDA offices in Silver Spring, Maryland.
(3) the proposed rule – with a comment due date of September 6, 2023 (April 10, 2023 for comments on the related information collection).
