FY22 TTB Annual Report Now Available
Each year, TTB issues an Annual Report to communicate relevant program performance and financial information to our stakeholders, and the FY 2022 report is now available!
The report highlights our program accomplishments and explains any challenges as we work toward meeting our strategic goals and objectives. The report also provides financial information on Bureau operations by major program. This combination of the Bureau's program performance and financial information in a single document lends accountability and transparency to how TTB uses our funding to return value to American taxpayers.
TTB Proposes Crystal Springs of Napa Valley AVA
 We are accepting comments through May 1, 2023, on Notice No. 221, Proposed Establishment of the Crystal Springs of Napa Valley Viticultural Area, which we published in the Federal Register on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The proposed 4,000-acre Crystal Springs of Napa Valley viticultural area (AVA) is located in Napa County, California, within the established Napa Valley and North Coast AVAs.
We are making this proposal in response to a petition filed on behalf of local grape growers and winemakers. We designate viticultural areas to allow vintners to better describe the origin of their wines and to allow consumers to better identify wines they may purchase.
You may submit comments electronically on this proposal and view copies of the proposed rule, selected supporting materials, and any comments we receive about this proposal at Regulations.gov within Docket No. TTB–2023–0002. Gouais Blanc Grape Variety Name Approved
 We recently granted administrative approval for the use of the grape variety name Gouais Blanc as a type designation on American wine labels.
Wine bottlers may use this name, as well as other names granted administrative approval, to label American wines pending the results of a rulemaking to revise the list of grape variety names approved for use in designating American wines at 27 CFR 4.91.
