Reminder: Statutory Requirements for Industry Members
As part of our continuing efforts to ensure a level playing field for all industry members, we want to remind you of the statutory and regulatory obligations to notify TTB in a timely fashion of all changes in ownership and control, to file required reports, and to file and pay taxes. An industry member who files a change in control application within 30 days of the change can lawfully operate while TTB reviews the application.
In situations in which statutory requirements are not timely met, or where tax related issues are identified, we continue to work directly with the industry stakeholder to resolve these issues in the most efficient manner and within reasonable timeframes. As always, TTB is committed to assisting industry members in returning to full compliance with minimal disruption to industry operations.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact the National Revenue Center at 877-882-3277 or through the National Revenue Center Contact Form.
