TTB Boot Camp for Distillers: Formulas and Labels
Last week, we participated in the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) Distillers’ Convention and Vendor Trade Show in New Orleans, LA. During the convention, TTB specialists assisted hundreds of prospective, new, and established distilled spirits industry members by answering their questions and explaining regulatory requirements.
We also presented a session on distilled spirits formulas and labeling requirements, which included details about when approval is necessary and tips for a speedy approval. The presentation, which also contains updated citations included in recent labeling modernization rulemaking, can be found on our Presentations page at TTB.gov.
What to Include to Get Your Formula Approved Faster
Recently we’ve seen an uptick in the number of beverage alcohol formula applications we receive without supporting documentation.
We will not be able to process your application without the required supporting documents, so providing appropriate documentation is a critical step to getting your formula application approved in a timely manner.
Not sure what to submit?
To avoid any delay in getting your application approved, you should know the 3 types of supporting documents, and when you are required to submit them.
Click the links for more details about what you’ll need to include in each type of required supporting documentation.
