Puerto Rico District Office Receives Pro Patria Award
On August 18, 2021, our Puerto Rico Trade Investigations Division (TID) District Office received the Pro Patria Award under the Department of Defense Employer Support for the Guard and Reserves (ESGR) program. The Puerto Rico district office received this award for its tremendous leadership in supporting one of their investigator’s service call-outs as a National Guard reservist.
Pro Patria Awards are given annually to employers that have demonstrated significant support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. This is the highest-level award that an ESGR State Committee may bestow.
Torrontés Riojano Varietal Approved
We recently granted administrative approval for the use of the grape variety name Torrontés Riojano as a type designation on American wine labels. Wine bottlers may use this name, as well as other names granted administrative approval, to label American wines pending the results of our next rulemaking to revise the list of grape variety names approved for use in designating American wines at 27 CFR 4.91.
