IN THIS ISSUEGreetings! This week’s top news includes our uploaded TTB Bootcamp for Brewers presentations, and a tip for speedy label approval. TTB BOOTCAMP FOR BREWERS PRESENTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON TTB.GOVThis week, we presented the 2020 version of our popular Bootcamp for Brewers during the CBC Online conference. The presentation materials are posted on our website and free recordings of the webinars are also available to the public on the CBC Online website through May 31 (Hint - use Chrome for the best replay experience).
AVOIDING COMMON ERRORS ON LABEL APPLICATIONS - PROVIDING TRANSLATIONS OF FOREIGN TEXTOne of the most common problems on applications for label approval (COLAs) are labels that contain foreign text without a translation provided on the application. This error causes the application to be returned to the applicant for correction. If a label contains foreign text, we must ensure that it’s not misleading or prohibited, and that it doesn’t conflict with mandatory label information. The most efficient way for TTB to evaluate foreign text is for the applicant to provide a translation.
