New TSP features and tools are now LIVE!

Thrift Savings Planner - July/August 2022

Thank you for your patience during the recent transition of our recordkeeping services. You may have encountered or heard about a bumpy launch of the new My Account, and we’re sincerely sorry for any frustration and inconvenience that caused.

Please be assured that your TSP savings transferred securely and successfully and that the core of our new system—processing investment transactions and other requests—is working as expected.

Set up your new login to My Account

If you haven’t already, you need to complete a one-time process to set up a new login to the new My Account, even if you set up access before June 1. This means you need to create a new username, password, and ThriftLine PIN to access your account. (Login credentials you set up prior to June 1 will not work.) You'll follow step-by-step prompts to verify your identity, update your contact information, and set up your account security.

Once you log in, you’ll find a redesigned My Account that includes the following:

More transactions you can complete entirely online using your electronic signature.
A new fund transfer option that allows you to move money from a specific fund(s) to another specific fund(s) without affecting the rest of your account.
A Secure Participant Mailbox for you to receive secure, personalized account communications.
Expanded TSP support from our new virtual assistant, called AVA, which will give you customized answers to your questions 24/7 or connect you to a ThriftLine Representative through live chat during business hours.
Personalized tools like the Retirement Income Modeler that can help you set savings goals.

Note: We expect ThriftLine call volume to remain high during this phase of account setup, which means hold times are longer than normal. If you need help with the new My Account, please read through the list of known issues to see if the information you need is there.

Information about your 2022 second quarter TSP participant statements

Given the timing of the recent transition of recordkeeping services, you’ll receive your 2022 second quarter account activity in two parts:

The first statement covers your second quarter account activity from April 1 to May 26, 2022. We mailed this statement in early July to the address of record on your TSP account.
The second statement covers your second quarter account activity from May 26 to June 30, 2022. We mailed this statement in late July to the address of record on your TSP account, and you can access a digital version in My Account.
