You find TSP emails helpful, so we’re reaching out more with timely updates, and we added more My Account transaction confirmations to improve your account security.
Your preferences are split between receiving your account statements by mail or going paperless. You can manage these options in My Account or on the ThriftLine.
New ways to view TSP funds, and new TSP funds to view
Your updated TSP website offers new tools
We redesigned the new tsp.gov with your direct feedback in mind. Along with improving navigation so you can find what you need quickly, we launched a new tool to view TSP fund performance.
You can use this tool to select and compare rates of return for TSP funds and even compare them to benchmarks such as the Dow Jones and S&P 500. Browse the tables to view and compare monthly returns over the lifetime of each TSP fund.
We increased automatic enrollment contributions to 5% to make sure all new, eligible participants receive full matching contributions starting with their very first paycheck.
Our training team found creative ways to work through the challenges of 2020 to make sure you could access even more TSP training events online. (It can be hard sometimes to find a quiet place to work.)
Receive a response online within two business days in the Secure Message Center. For your account-specific questions, log in to My Account, select Message Center, and use the Messages tab.
Your average call wait time on the ThriftLine in 2020: 14 seconds. To minimize your wait time, call in the afternoon or later in the week.

We include your 4th quarter (October – December) TSP account information on your annual statement. Your annual statement will be available the first week of February.
Unless you opted out in My Account, you'll receive your annual statement by mail, and you'll receive an email when the annual statements become available online.
