Update to OFAC's list of Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) and Blocked Persons and OFAC's list of Sectoral Sanctions Identifications (SSI); Publication of Iran-related OFAC Alert; Issuance of Amended Venezuela-related General License and Frequently Asked Question

The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing an Iran-related Alert, "Iranian Shadow Fleet Reliance on False Flags for Sanctions Evasion."

Additionally, OFAC is issuing Venezuela-related General License 5AA, "Authorizing Certain Transactions Related to the Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or After December 18, 2026." OFAC is also issuing one amended Frequently Asked Question, FAQ 595.

Lastly, OFAC has made the following changes to the list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN List) and the list of Sectoral Sanctions Identifications (SSI List). Please visit this page to access the latest version of the SDN list. Check this page periodically as it may also be updated if a new list-related format or product is offered.
