Issuance of Iran-related General License 8A and Amended Frequently Asked Questions; Counter Terrorism Designations and Designations Updates; Iran-related Designations and Designations Updates

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is issuing General License 8A, "Authorizing Certain Humanitarian Trade Transactions Involving the Central Bank of Iran or the National Iranian Oil Company." OFAC is also amending related Frequently Asked Questions (821, 822, 823, 825, 828, and 844).

In addition, OFAC has updated its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List.
