Today, in accordance with the Countering Russian Influence in Europe and Eurasia
Act of 2017 (CRIEEA) (see Title II of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions
Act), the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control
(OFAC) is issuing amended Ukraine-/Russia-Related Directive 1 and Directive 2. Certain CRIEEA-related prohibitions in amended
Directives 1 and 2 have a delayed effective date of November 28, 2017. OFAC is
also publishing updated FAQs relating to the amended Directives.
