We’re pleased to introduce a new series of stories about real people who are on the path to financial independence.
Everyone’s path to work is different, including their steps, setbacks and accomplishments. Our new Stepping Stones series will celebrate the progress individuals are making on their way to financial independence.
When Chris was 18, he was looking forward to spending the summer with his friends and starting college. But when a car accident resulted in quadriplegia, Chris turned his goals to learning how to navigate without the use of his arms and legs.
With time, Chris was ready to work toward his goals, including pursuing college degrees, finding internships and preparing for work.
Discover how Social Security’s Work Incentives have helped Chris as he has transitioned to the workplace on his way to financial independence!
