ECHO awarded with Veteran Trust Fund Grant

This year, in support of the South Carolina Veteran Coalition, the Veteran Trust Fund (VTF) has selected top performers in each region to receive grants to enrich their Veteran support programs. VTF has recently selected Eastern Carolina Housing Organization (ECHO) as a recipient of grand funding. ECHO, the first South Carolina Veteran Coalition partner of the Pee Dee has consistently provided housing support to Veterans across all 12 counties of the Pee Dee region. ECHO has housing programs tailored to meet the specific needs of Veterans, with support staffed certified and trained in Veterans benefits.

Community Connection with the Military Enhancement Fund

SCDVA, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, and Beaufort County Government joined project supporters, community partners, and contractors in Beaufort County to mark the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Laurel Bay Pathway Project (the first project completed under the Military Enhancement Fund). This new public pathway seamlessly connects Laurel Bay Housing to the Marine Corps Air Station, creating a convenient route for residents, personnel, and those utilizing the trail.

Hurricane Helene relief extended

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced that applications for physical damage disaster loans will continue to be accepted until the Jan. 7th deadline. Applications will be processed to ensure individuals and businesses are prepared to receive assistance once funding becomes available. Find a list of eligible SC counties and more details below.
