With just one day left, you still have time to donate to our Veteran Thanksgiving Food Drive. We're grateful to partner with Harvest Hope Food Bank for this effort. We're almost complete, but we can’t do it without YOU! Every dollar you contribute will provide four meals to Veterans in SC. SCDVA Holiday Hours

SCDVA will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, and Friday, November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will reopen and resume regular business hours on Monday, December 2. Have a SAFE AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HONORING A LOCAL HERO: Remembering Col. Wingard

SCDVA has learned of the recent passing of a SC hero who served nearly 40 years in the U.S. Armed Forces and SC National Guard.

Florence native, Colonel Barringer Fox Wingard, Jr. served our nation and state proudly earning numerous military decorations and awards, and was fiercely devoted to the Palmetto State, the city of Florence and his family.

Waters-Powell Funeral Home in Florence has posted the obituary for Colonel Wingard online where you can send flowers or share a memory. Click below to review the obituary.
