“We’ve always had to prove that we were better, just to be considered equal. The inspiration of the Tuskegee Airmen is an example of that.” You’ve likely heard the heroic stories of the “Red Tails,” also known as the Tuskegee Airmen.
There’s now a monument in the Midlands of South Carolina celebrating the group of African American airmen who fought in World War II. The son of one of the Tuskegee Airmen visited the monument during a dedication ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter in honor of those from the Palmetto State.

VA proposes rule to extend presumed areas of exposure to Agent Orange
The VA is proposing a rule that would expand the locations and time frames for presumed areas of exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides.
If this proposed rule becomes final, VA will implement a new presumption of exposure to locations where herbicides were tested, used, or stored outside of Vietnam. Specifically, this proposed rule would add locations in the United States (full list of US locations where Agent Orange was tested or stored), Canada, and India to the existing presumptives for Agent Orange in Vietnam, Cambodia, Johnson Atoll, Guam, American Samoa, Korea, Laos, and Thailand.
