CONGRATULATIONS to Laura Robbins for being selected as SCDVA's FIRST EVER female Veteran of the Quarter for the 2023-2024 nomination cycle! Robbins is an Air Force Veteran who turned her own struggles into a path that helped others who struggled with addiction and mental health.

The Veterans’ Homelessness and Transition Grant was established on October 16, 2023, to provide funding to organizations that serve homeless Veterans or Veterans at imminent risk of being homeless with resources to obtain permanent housing.
The grant aims to enhance nonprofit organizations and state agencies' housing assistance programs for Veterans. The South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs will award a grant to nonprofit groups and state governmental agencies that assist eligible South Carolina Veterans with housing assistance, utility or rental assistance, drug addiction treatment and transitional housing programs.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!: The University of South Carolina Veterans and Military Affairs, USC Press, and the Veterans Studies Association is hosting the 2024 VIS Conference: Tidal Changes in the Sea of Goodwill.
SCDVA Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey, will provide a welcome to Veterans in attendance and a keynote address to discuss thriving Veterans in the Palmetto State.
The 1.5 day conference will take place from March 14-15.
