StoryCorps' Military Voices Initiative
SCDVA is proud to be partnering with South Carolina ETV and SC Public Radio to participate in StoryCorps' Military Voices Initiative.
Made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the initiative serves as an opportunity to capture the experiences of our veterans, service members and military families, as well as help civilians better understand the complex realities of veterans’ service and sacrifice. It will be achieved through a virtual interview process, taking place the weeks of April 12th and April 19th.

American Rescue Plan Helps Veterans Protections and Monetary Aid
The American Rescue Plan provides Veterans seamless COVID-19 protections and monetary aid.
The $1.9 trillion coronavirus economic relief package for Americans allocates $17 billion in support of VA’s nationwide response to the pandemic.

Travel Pay Claims Made Easy
Eligible Veterans and caregivers can now file reimbursement claims for travel related to medical appointments from a computer, tablet or smart phone.
With VA’s launch of the Beneficiary Travel Self-Service System, veterans and caregivers can enjoy fast payments and a new ability to track in-process for the reimbursement claims.
