RESTORE Council to Hold Vote on Draft 2026 Funded Priorities List
On June 10, 2026, the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) will vote on whether to approve the draft 2026 Funded Priorities List (FPL). The draft FPL proposes $403,654,000 in new funding for nineteen projects and programs focused on water quality improvement, habitat conservation and restoration, and other ecosystem needs across the Gulf Coast, in accordance with the RESTORE Act (33 U.S.C. § 1321(t) and note). In addition, the vote will include reallocating $9,605,860 in savings from previously approved projects and programs to further support activities in this FPL.
The draft 2026 FPL was available for a 43‑day public review and comment period. During this time, the Council presented an overview of the proposed FPL through five live public webinars and three in‑person meetings. Notices of these meetings were posted on the Council’s website and distributed via its email list. Recordings were also posted online for members of the public who could not attend the live events.
