Now available: Profile updates in the Open Data Portal
You can now update your profile in the Open Data Portal (ODP). Previously, the only place to add profile information was in your USPTO.gov account. On the ODP homepage now, you may see a new pop-up window prompting you to add some identifying information. Though this step is currently optional, starting August 18, you’ll need to add this information to access our site.
Note: If you've already completed your account profile, you won't see a pop-up window and do not need to take action.
To complete your profile, simply add the following information in the pop-up window:
- Job title
- Organization name
- Organization type
- Intended use
If you choose to do so, you can still add this information to your USPTO.gov account profile under "Account Settings" on the left navigation menu in the Open Data Portal section.
To learn more, check out our FAQs. If you have questions about our data products, please email us at data@uspto.gov.
