USPTO publishes India Intellectual Property Rights toolkit
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has published its India Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) toolkit.
The toolkit provides general guidance for businesses and practitioners in better understanding the basics of the IP landscape in India. It also highlights the differences between the U.S. and Indian IP rights legal systems.
The USPTO is one of several government agencies and bureaus participating in STOPfakes.gov, a one-stop shop for free U.S. government tools and resources on protecting and enforcing IP rights internationally. The India IPR toolkit is part of this larger campaign.
Previously, the USPTO published an IPR toolkit for China, as well as a toolkit for UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to protect their IP within the United States.
For additional information on protecting IP rights overseas, please visit our IP rights webpage.
