Today, America's Invention Agency, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), is releasing redesigned eGrant covers celebrating America’s semiquincentennial—250 years of life, liberty, and the pursuit of innovation. The updated covers honor the rich history of American innovation and recognize the continuing role of intellectual property in fostering creativity and economic growth. The 250 logo is the result of an agency-wide design contest.
Next Tuesday, America's Branding Agency, the U.S. Trademark Office, gets into the act with the release of its own redesigned registration certificates. The USPTO transitioned to electronic registration certificates on May 24, 2022.
Both new commemorations reflect updates to the current design, first unveiled by America’s Innovation Agency on March 11, 2018, and made its debut with U.S. patent number 10 million, issued on June 19, 2018. And all new cover sheets will be issued with the new “250” logo through and including the last Tuesday of 2026, December 29—yet another reason to look forward to each Tuesday this year!
