Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure update now available
The November 2025 Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP) is now available on the USPTO website. This update incorporates relevant precedential decisions issued since the May 2025 TMEP revision and before August 31, 2025. It also clarifies or formalizes some existing procedures.
The TMEP is the primary resource for information about the trademark examination process.
