USPTO seeking comments on locations for community outreach offices in states formerly served by the Rocky Mountain Regional Outreach Office
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is interested in opening community outreach offices in the eight-state area formerly serviced by the Rocky Mountain Regional Outreach Office. The eight-state area includes: Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
We invite the public to suggest one or more potential locations for these offices. Comments should be submitted to NewOffices@uspto.gov by November 28, 2025.
The USPTO reimagines its community outreach footprint as an agile model for community engagement - high-touch points of presence planted right in the heart of local innovation ecosystems. The USPTO’s Community Engagement Offices will be designed as centers for the cultivation and expansion of vibrant innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship supported by intellectual property.
