 Stephanie Klixbull and Dr. Sequoyah Wharton (far right), and their team won “Best Overall Pitch” in the NSTI 2024 Invention Challenge. Their group came up with an idea for producing a new beverage sourced from duckweed called “Quacktail Delight.” They created a trademark, designed a logo, wrote a jingle, and put together a pitch for judges. The Invention Challenge is always a highlight for NSTI participants and is a great example of something that teachers can bring back to their classroom.
