Changes in Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) fees

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) fee schedule was updated with the following changes, effective November 1:

PCT fees to foreign offices

  • 1701: International filing fee (first 30 pages - filed electronically without ePCT or PCT-EASY .zip file) – fee increase from $1,327 to $1,401
  • 1710: International filing fee (first 30 pages - filed electronically with ePCT or PCT-EASY .zip file) – fee increase from $1,219 to $1,287
  • 1702: International filing fee (first 30 pages) – fee increase from $1,435 to $1,515
  • 1703: Supplemental fee (for each page over 30) – fee increase from $16 to $17
  • 1712: International search, IP Australia (IPAU) as International Searching Authority (ISA) – fee decrease from $1,523 to $1,411
  • 1705: Handling fee – fee increase from $216 to $228
  • 1706: Handling fee – 90% reduction, if applicant meets criteria specified on the WIPO tablefee increase from $21.60 to $22.80
