Coming April 25: Artificial Intelligence listening session online and at USPTO headquarters
On February 14, 2023, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a Federal Register Notice (FRN) requesting comments regarding artificial intelligence (AI) and inventorship. On April 7, the USPTO published an FRN announcing an AI inventorship public listening session that will be hosted online and in person at the USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, on April 25 at 10:30 a.m. ET.

This hybrid event is free and open to the public. Attendees wishing to speak must request to speak by April 20, and all others must register by April 24.
Slots to speak and in-person seating are limited, so register today.
There will be a second AI inventorship listening session on May 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT at Stanford University in Stanford, California, as outlined in an FRN issued today.
