USPTO extends deadline for comments on initiatives to improve the robustness and reliability of patent rights

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is extending the comment period for the Request for Comments (RFC) on USPTO Initiatives to Ensure the Robustness and Reliability of Patent Rights originally published in the Federal Register on October 4, 2022, until February 1, 2023. This will be the only extension of the comment period. The extension ensures that all stakeholders have a sufficient opportunity to submit comments on the questions presented in the October 4, 2022, notice.

The full text of the current notice is available at the Federal Register and on the USPTO’s Patent Related Notices webpage.

To learn more join the USPTO this Friday, November 4, from 1-2 p.m. ET, for a webinar on the RFC.
