SOaR to host trainings on patent eligibility under 35 U.S.C. § 101

The United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) Stakeholder Offerings and Resources (SOaR) program will host free virtual training sessions on the eligibility requirements of patents for inventions, under title 35 U.S.C. § 101, November 29 through December 1

During this training, patentability experts will:

  • Review the 35 U.S.C. § 101 statute
  • Provide examples of how to apply it
  • Cover legal requirements and categories

Pre-registration is required and will be open Wednesday, November 9 through Monday, November 28. Instructions for joining the Webex training session will be emailed to each registrant. The USPTO is applying for one hour of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit in Virginia for this course.
