The U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General’s recent audit report (Property Condition Reviews – Garyville, North Kenner, and Lake Forest Post Offices in Louisiana) determined if Postal Service management is adhering to building maintenance, safety and security standards and employee work conditions. Auditors reviewed USPS systems to identify maintenance issues and analyzed documentation for deficiencies. We found 72 deficiencies at the three facilities ranging from minor to serious violations.
