The latest U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General audit report reviewed the Postal Service’s efforts to protect its employees from the COVID-19 pandemic. While having taken quick actions that likely saved lives and increased safety, USPS could have done better: Among other things, employees did not always wear face coverings, and the Postal Service’s contact tracing program did not include an overarching program goal with associated metrics.
