Postal Service Management of End-of-Life Devices

U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General conducted an audit to determine whether the Postal Service is effectively managing IT network devices nearing the end of their service life. The Postal Service’s IT infrastructure includes thousands of such devices, which must be monitored, maintained, and replaced appropriately to provide a high-level of network performance and prevent unwanted outages.
