Upcoming Changes to PBGC’s e-Filing Portal

On February 1, 2024, PBGC will launch a new and improved e-Filing Portal. Key changes include:

  • A streamlined look and feel across all applications, and
  • A new, more secure, login

The change to the login process is needed to satisfy federal cybersecurity requirements for public-facing websites, most notably, a requirement to implement two-factor authentication. 

To facilitate this change, PBGC is partnering with Login.gov, a secure sign in service used by the public to log in to participating government agencies’ websites including TSA’s PreCheck and Social Security. Login.gov has been exclusively used to access My PAA, PBGC’s premium filing system, since November 2022.

This new process will enable you to use the same email address and password to access the e-filing Portal, My PAA, and websites hosted by any other participating government entity.
