 Greetings HR community partners,
We’re excited to announce that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has officially launch the new Federal Workforce Data (FWD) site this week, replacing the legacy FedScope platform. Beginning today, you can access the new FWD site at https://data.opm.gov.
Built from the ground up, FWD provides a more intuitive, transparent, and powerful way to explore federal workforce data, improving data quality, expanding available content, and making it easier than ever to understand workforce trends across the federal government.
What’s new with FWD?
Improved user experience The new site features a clean, user-friendly design with interactive visualizations and built-in filters. Users can easily switch between charts and tables and export data for offline analysis or reporting.
Expanded data and analysis tools FWD includes interactive visuals tailored to common workforce questions, access to properly redacted person-level data, and new datasets covering administrative leave, telework and remote work, and performance rating distributions.
Reliable, transparent data releases FWD introduces predictable monthly data updates, giving users confidence in a consistent release schedule. Each dataset includes detailed release notes that identify missing submissions and flag potential data quality issues. Policy and data standards documentation are also available to ensure clarity and consistency.
We look forward to your feedback as you begin using the new FWD site. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at EHRIhelp@opm.gov.
