 Dear Agency Talent Portal Users,
The Merit Hiring Plan prohibits the current longform federal resume structure and requires federal agencies to limit resumes to two pages. Starting September 27, 2025, USAJOBS will enforce a two-page resume limit for all resumes. This includes resumes stored in a job seeker profile, new uploaded resumes, resume builder resumes, and searchable resumes in the Agency Talent Portal (ATP). USAJOBS will not delete or remove any resumes stored in USAJOBS profiles. Beginning on September 27, 2025, job seekers can modify existing resumes stored in their USAJOBS profile or upload or build a new resume in their USAJOBS profile to meet the two-page requirement. Job seekers must choose a resume that is two or fewer pages to make it searchable and apply for jobs. See our USAJOBS Help Center article for more information on the two-page resume limit.
Searchable resumes will expire from ATP on September 27, 2025, to ensure all ATP resumes meet the two-page requirement. As a result, any candidates that are saved to campaigns will be marked unavailable. ATP users can continue to download resumes and/or export candidate contact information from campaigns until September 26, 2025.
Starting September 29, 2025, agencies can begin resume mining and creating new campaigns. As job seekers populate their profile with searchable two-page resumes, USAJOBS will re-populate ATP for resume mining in real time. USAJOBS will inform job seekers who have searchable resumes that their resume will expire from ATP on September 27, 2025, and to create a new searchable resume after this date.
Act now to save any candidate resumes or campaign information that you would like to retain before they are expired on September 27, 2025.
