 Dear CHCOs and Deputy CHCOs,
No later than COB on Friday, January 24, 2025, agencies must send OPM their certification of completion of the required steps in the Memo and the date when their revised telework policy will be in full compliance with the PM and Memo. Please send your agency certification, projected date of full compliance with the PM and Memo, and any other required information from the Memo to tracking@opm.gov.
OPM is also providing this email to clarify that—

The memo covers both remote workers and teleworkers.

Telework can be provided for weather-related emergencies, office closures, and other situations where telework serves a compelling agency need.

Agency heads and employee supervisors are only required to certify telework for “other compelling reasons” for an employee not working full time at the duty station. No such certification is required for an employee disability or qualifying medical condition outside of their agency’s reasonable accommodation procedures.
