Task Force on Maternal Mental Health's Expansion of Efforts to Advance Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Care
In connection with the one-year anniversary of the Task Force on Maternal Mental Health, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is expanding efforts to advance maternal mental health and substance use disorder care. We look forward to learning about any new initiatives from organizations that have the potential to substantially improve maternal health and substance use disorder awareness and services nationwide.
The areas of focus include:
- Building a National Infrastructure that Prioritizes Perinatal Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder and Well-Being
- Making Care and Services Accessible, Affordable, and Equitable
- Using Data and Research to Improve Outcomes and Accountability
- Promoting and Engaging, Educating, and Partnering with Communities
- Lifting Up Lived Experience
