March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
In 2020, non-Hispanic Black men and women had the highest rates of new colon and rectum cancer. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Screen for Life: National Colorectal Cancer Action Campaign informs men and women who are 45 years old or older about the importance of getting screened for colorectal cancer regularly. Screening tests help find precancerous polyps (abnormal growths) so they can be removed before they turn into cancer. Use videos, social media messaging, images, and print materials to share information with your community about the importance of screening for colorectal cancer.
