HHS MyHealthFinder: Take Good Care Campaign
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) created the Take Good Care campaign to help people get essential clinical preventive services. Focusing on Black and Hispanic women ages 45 to 54 who are often in caregiving roles, the campaign encourages prioritizing preventive care through the MyHealthfinder tool.
Preventive care includes health care like screenings, checkups, and vaccines. These services can find health problems before you have symptoms — or even stop issues from developing altogether.

National Eye Institute Virtual Reality Eye Disease Experience
January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month, and the NIH National Eye Institute has created a virtual reality (VR) app — See What I See — that shows what it's like to live with vision loss from common eye diseases, including glaucoma.
The app also features four quizzes to check your knowledge about age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.

Natural History Study of COVID-19 Using Digital Wearables
This study, sponsored by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), intends to follow and record symptoms of COVID-19 to see how it progresses in people and why some people stay sick longer than others. The study will be conducted in Bethesda, Maryland.
Transgender Men's Perspectives on HIV Risk and HIV Prevention Interventions
This study, sponsored by Northwestern University, aims to gather and analyze qualitative data from focus groups with Transgender men who have sex with men (TMSM) to learn more about the life experiences unique to TMSM that influence their attitudes and beliefs about HIV risk, as well as to understand better the intersections of these specific sexual and gender identities. The study will be conducted in Chicago, Illinois.

2023 NBCC Minority Fellowship Program for Addictions Counselors
The program will administer up to 40 master's degree-level counseling fellowships of $15,000 for addictions counseling students, plus the travel expenses to participate in other program-related trainings. The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program helps ensure that the behavioral health needs of all Americans are met, regardless of language or culture, thereby reducing health disparities and improving overall community health and well-being.
