In recognition of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the HHS Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships invites you to hear from youth and their perspectives on suicide prevention. Nearly 18 youth die by suicide every day in the United States. Rarely has there been a more important time to hear from youth about the challenges they are facing and consider how faith and community groups can come alongside our youth to improve their health and wellbeing.

NOURISH-T+: Promoting Healthy Eating and Exercise Behaviors
This study, sponsored by the University of South Florida (USF) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), seeks pediatric cancer survivors aged 5-12 years old and their parents or legal guardians, aged 18 years and older. This study aims to teach parents/caregivers skills to help prevent and reduce the problems of obesity in childhood cancer survivors. The study will be carried out at the following locations:
- Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC
- Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida
- USF Pediatrics in Tampa, Florida
- Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia
- Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Aging People Living with HIV in Chronic Pain
This study, sponsored by the University of California, San Diego and the National Institute on Aging (NIA), seeks people living with HIV, aged 50 years and older, with a diagnosis of chronic non-cancer pain. The study will be carried out at the AntiViral Research Center in San Diego, California.

CDC Traditional Food Sovereignty and Tribal Workforce Development Fellowship
The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) is accepting applications for the Traditional Food Sovereignty and Tribal Workforce Development Fellowship within the CDC Healthy Tribes program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Healthy Tribes program aims to strengthen the public health infrastructure, promote cultural and traditional health and wellness practices, and integrate evidence-based chronic disease interventions to improve the health of American Indian or Alaska Native communities. Fellows will be appointed full-time for one year, with a possibility of renewal for up to five years upon CDC recommendation and the availability of funds.
Deadline for application is October 5, by 3:00 p.m. ET.
Training: Aging with HIV: Challenges for a 'New Aging'
This self-paced online course from the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center provides an understanding of the real-world challenges faced by people aging with HIV, how psycho-social barriers affect aging people with HIV, and how to realign existing services for older adults living with HIV. Free registration is required to access this course. Registrants who fully complete the course will be eligible to receive 1.5 continuing education (CE) credits.
