Health professionals from racial and ethnic minority groups have been especially impacted due to pre-existing inequities around social determinants of health.

The U.S. Surgeon General's Addressing Health Worker Burnout advisory provides action steps for health care organizations, federal, state, local, and Tribal governments, academic institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders. It also provides guidance for health workers' family and friends.
