The latest issue brief from the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation describes how the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted stark health disparities among racial
and ethnic minorities in infections, hospitalizations, death rates, and vaccination rates: Health Disparities by Race and Ethnicity During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Current Evidence and Policy Approaches.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency Community Vaccination Centers (CVCs) Playbook establishes guidance for providing federal support to CVCs in the areas of interagency coordination, resource support, facility setup, and other requirements. 

The American Nurses Association launched the COVID Vaccine Facts for Nurses website as a nurse's hub for critical, current, and credible COVID-19 vaccine information, including guidance on culturally sensitive communication with patients. 

Community Health Center staff can find tools, advice, workflows, and best practices for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the National Association of Community Health Centers COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Clinic Operations Toolkit. 

NIH invites feedback on the approaches NIH can take to advance racial equity, diversity, and inclusion within all facets of the biomedical research workforce and expand research to eliminate or lessen health disparities and inequities. This RFI will assist NIH in identifying, developing, and implementing strategies that will allow the biomedical enterprise to benefit from a more diverse and inclusive research workforce and a more robust portfolio of research to better understand and address inequities in NIH's existing system.

The Indian Health Service Healthy Beverage Community Action Guide outlines a process for American Indian and Alaska Native communities to promote healthy beverages and decrease consumption of sugar-sweetened drinks and caffeinated energy drinks. It outlines steps for starting a healthy beverage community action campaign, including sample assessment forms, meeting agendas and focus group activities.
