National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, HIV Prevention Starts with Me: Ending the HIV Epidemic Together
The HHS Office of Women's Health (OWH) recognizes March 10 as National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in order to raise awareness about the need for all women, especially pregnant women, to be tested and treated for HIV.

Workshop Proceedings: A Health Equity Approach to Obesity Efforts
This publication summarises the topics addressed during a workshop convened by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Roundtable on Obesity Solutions. The workshop explored the history of health equity issues in demographic groups that have an above-average risk for obesity, and considered principles and approaches for addressing these issues as part of obesity prevention and treatment efforts.

Social Media HIV Prevention Intervention for High Risk Rural Women
This behavioral study, sponsored by the University of Kentucky and the NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), seeks female volunteers, age 18 years or older, to test an evidence-based HIV prevention program for recently incarcerated, high-risk and underserved rural women in Appalachia. Study to be conducted at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
A Reinforcement Intervention for Increasing HIV Testing among At-Risk Women
This behavioral study, sponsored by UConn Health and the NIH National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), seeks case managers, medical/nursing clinicians or mental health/substance use therapists, age 18 years or older, who work with women at high risk for contracting HIV. It also seeks female, African American or Hispanic/Latina volunteers, age 18 years or older, with one or more high risk factors for HIV. Study to be conducted at UConn Health in Farmington, Conn.
