This webinar will update the public on the status of the upcoming Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health, and to request public input to help guide development of the report.

Conferences

  • Medical Advocacy and Outreach (MAO): Registration is open for the 3rd Annual Breaking Barriers Summit, Health Equity and Social Justice in the Deep South. This HIV/AIDS summit will address topics such as youth sexual health, integrating HIV education into communities of faith, HIV and behavioral health, health equity in rural communities, and more.

Capacity Building

  • National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine: Workshop. Toward Understanding the Interplay of Environmental Stressors, Infectious Disease, and Human Health. Speakers will discuss emerging evidence on the links between environmental pollution and infectious disease, promising approaches to study those interactions, and how this knowledge could guide research directions, health practices, and public policy. This workshop will be live streamed via Webcast.

The goal of NNEDLearn is to develop NNED members' skills in evidence-supported and culturally appropriate mental illness and substance use prevention and treatment practices and to support practice implementation.

Clinical Trials

  • Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)/Office of Research and Development: Behavioral study. Improve Glaucoma Medication Adherence (MAGIC). VA researchers seek volunteers age 18 or older who have a diagnosis of open angle glaucoma, have been prescribed glaucoma eye drops, and had a visual field performed within the last 9 months. Study to be conducted at the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, NC. Learn more.

  • The New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, in collaboration with the NIH NIDCR and the State University of New York at Buffalo: Behavioral study. Implementing a Participatory, Multi-level Intervention to Improve Asian American Health Study. Researchers seek volunteers age 21 or older who self-identify as Chinese and who live in any of the 5 boroughs of New York City for a randomized controlled trial of a participatory, multi-level, partnered intervention to improve the oral and general health of low-income Chinese American adults.
