This report assesses the performance of the US healthcare system and identifies areas of strengths and weaknesses, as well as disparities, for access to healthcare and quality of healthcare. QDR data also forms the basis for AHRQ's updated State Snapshots, which show how each state fares according to access to care; type of care; setting of care; prevalence of diseases and conditions; health status of priority populations; and insurance status. Learn more.

@ The Knowledge Center - Recommended Reading

Health Literacy Insights for Health Crises is a discussion paper that examines the importance of and methods for crafting clear messages during health-related emergencies. The paper acknowledges limited health literacy skills that exist among adults in the United States, then provides tools to determine the health literacy of texts. It also includes examples of messages for communicating urgent information based on the recommendations listed in the paper.
