Wear BLUE logo
  • June 15 is National Wear BLUE Day. In support of Men's Health Month, the day helps show support for boys and men and encourages them to live longer and healthier lives by wearing blue and using #ShowUsYourBlue on social media posts.

Pathways to Safer Opioid Use. Learn about safe practices for prescribing opioids to treat chronic pain.
  • The HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) has created Pathways to Safer Opioid Use, an interactive training that promotes the appropriate, safe, and effective use of opioids to manage chronic pain. The training is intended for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, public health professionals, including health educators and interdisciplinary public health practitioners, and students in health-related fields.

  • HHS/Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH): Phase I Replicating Programs (Tier 1) Effective in the Promotion of Healthy Adolescence and the Reduction of Teenage Pregnancy and Associated Risk Behaviors.

  • HHS/OASH: Phase I New and Innovative Strategies (Tier 2) to Prevent Teenage Pregnancy and Promote Healthy Adolescence.

Federal Grants

  • HHS/Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE): Center for Research on Hispanic Children and Families Cooperative Agreement. 
    Deadline for Letters of Intent (LOI) is June 14. Learn more.

  • Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): Healthy Homes Production Grant Program for Tribal Housing. This program will assist American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribal governments to develop comprehensive programs to identify and remediate housing issues that contribute to health and safety issues.

  • HHS/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA): Expansion of the Family-to-Family Health Information Centers Grant. Eligibility is limited to applicants within American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands or the US Virgin Islands, and entities that serve AI/AN tribes.

  • Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative: Genomic Analysis for Autism Risk Variants in SPARK Program. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and have a faculty position or the equivalent at a university, medical school or other research facility.

  • Ethel & James Flinn Foundation: Children and Young People Mental Health Grant. Eligibility is limited to organizations located in the Michigan counties of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb or Washtenaw.

  • Medica Foundation: Non-Profit Core Mission Program. Supports small community health organizations in regional and rural areas in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

  • The book Dying to be Men: Psychosocial, Environmental, and Biobehavioral Directions in Promoting the Health of Men and Boys investigates the significant role masculinity plays in the overall wellbeing of men and boys.
